Divya Bhaskar celebrates 20 years - MediaNews4U

Divya Bhaskar, the Gujarati newspaper from DB Corp, celebrated its 20th anniversary recently. To mark the milestone, the daily executed a series of offerings for readers. 

Its anniversary edition adopted the theme 'Power of Gujarat' focused on Gujarat's development and pertinent personalities. It featured an article on the inaugural speech delivered by Sri Ravi Shankar Maharaj (father of Gujarat), which laid the foundation for the state's visionary aspirations. It also featured Ahmedabad's AI and ChatGPT-prepared master plan, billed as a first. A six-page issue named 'Gujarat's Pride' highlighted the state's  proud moments and motivational success stories.

Marking the occasion, Divya Bhaskar presented the annual 'Sacchi Vaat Bedhadak Person of the Year' awards, which honour five exceptional readers with a cash prize and a citation for their contributions and inspiring efforts. This year, it felicitated veteran employees who have dedicated 20 years to Divya Bhaskar with a special award and an initiative was announced to have at least one woman employee at every position in the editorial department by 2024. 

To encapsulate its journey, Divya Bhaskar compiled a digital book titled 'A Journey from Readers' Choice to Become Behdhak'. It also published a book 'Bhaskar Parivar' featuring pictures and information about each employee and their family.

Extending the celebrations to clients and agencies, Divya Bhaskar hosted an evening of celebration. Three books – 'Navratna', 'Shrestha Ratna', and 'Echoes of Gujarat' – were published to honour eminent personalities for their contributions to Gujarat and the country.
