Clerk Lynnelle Wilson, Treasurer Alexis Middleton and Trustee Courtney Wilson all handed in their letters of resignation to be effective on New Year's Eve near the end of Thursday's special meeting, which had been called for the purpose of "board relations discussion."

"In light of what has happened at recent meetings and with no productive communication, I think something needs to change to on this board and I'm submitting my resignation for Dec. 31," Lynnelle Wilson said.

Courtney Wilson submitted her resignation Dec. 31 "due to personal reasons."

Middleton submitted her resignation effective Dec. 31, without making any further comments.

Supervisor Mike Blood and Trustee Rod Wells will be the only two board members left after the resignations become effective. The township board has been struggling to agree on multiple topics this year.

About two dozen residents were present for Thursday's meeting and many people voiced concerns and questions during public comment.

Ronald Township is located in northern Ionia County, bordering Montcalm County.
