The Class 10 English question paper of the Bengal board was leaked, BJP claimed (Representational)

By Suryagni Roy: Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumder alleged that the English question paper of the state board's class 10 exam was leaked from Malda on the day of the examination. On Friday, the students of class 10 of West Bengal's Madhyamik board sat for their English language examination.

"We heard that the paper was leaked from the Malda district. This is not something new and has happened earlier as well. The board is so efficient that it is being called Madhya Leak not Madhyamik. I have heard that a TMC local leader from Malda has leaked the paper," Sukanta Majumder alleged.

India Today TV did a reality check with the students in Kolkata, who saw the pictures and claimed that the questions were a part of their exam booklet.

The board of secondary education slammed the social media post and said that there had been no leak and that it was deliberate 'sabotage'.

In their press note, the board stated that the three pictures circulating from 1:40 pm on social media are three pages of the 16-page English question paper from the exam today.

"The matter is actually a planned "sabotage" and not a "leak". Had there been a leak, then all 16 pages would have been circulating before the start of the examination. We have already requested the administration to investigate the source of this sabotage. The exam started at 12 noon, and when the pictures were circulated, the examinees and all others concerned were inside the examination hall. Therefore, it did not have any effect on the examination. Those who give cognizance to such acts actually promote such meaningless acts of sabotage," Ramanuj Ganguly, President, Ad-Hoc Committee of the WBBSE, said.
