Corrections: April 29, 2022 - The New York Times

Corrections that appeared in print on Friday, April 29, 2022.

An article on Thursday about fears in Washington and European capitals that the conflict in Ukraine may soon escalate into a wider war misidentified Seth G. Jones's position at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He is the director of the International Security Program, not the European Security Program.

An article on Sunday about an Israeli military operation in the West Bank referred imprecisely to Israel's comments on the shooting death of Mohammad Zakarneh. While the military declined to comment to The Times directly, it released a statement describing an incident the same day and place as his death in which soldiers shot someone who had first shot at them.

Errors are corrected during the press run whenever possible, so some errors noted here may not have appeared in all editions.
