A massive fire broke out Haji Building, Ansari Lane, in the Rajbagh area of Srinagar on Thursday.
As per reports, an aggressive fire engulfed the building instantly and damaged the property of several offices housed in the building which include Daily Srinagar Mail.
An office bearer of the Urdu Daily told Rising Kashmir that fire erupted all of a sudden, turning whole property of the office into ashes.
"All furniture and electronic gadgets and equipment of the Daily Srinagar Mail turned into ashes", he confirmed.
The Fire and Emergency department official said that men and machinery have been pressed to the spot to douse the flames.
However the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
