Google recommends importing GA4 conversions into Google Ads - Search Engine Land

Image
Google has urged marketers to import their web and app conversions from Google Analytics 4 into Google Ads. Advertisers that have a linked Google Ads account may have already received a message advising of the new import conversions recommendation. If your GA4 account is eligible for the import, a card will likely appear at the top of the Advertising snapshot page, as a card on the Home page, or as a card on the Insights Hub page. Why we care. Importing the data will make life easier for marketers as they can access their web and app conversion in Google Ads, meaning they don't need to revert back to GA4. It will also help advertisers to better optimize bids which will potentially result in improved performance. Get the daily newsletter search marketers rely on. How does conversion data help marketers? Tracking conversions is how marketers understand which of their ads are

Turn out the lights, the party's over' (Opinion) - Tahoe Daily Tribune

Image
What a wild, smokey, fiery, snowy, mask-y ride the last nearly four years have been. When I came to Lake Tahoe, and to the Tribune, in 2017, I never imagined the path it would take. I started out as sports editor and then was promoted to editor in the summer of 2019. After a few months learning the many acronyms, agencies and groups around Lake Tahoe, all hell broke loose. There was no shortage of stories to pursue. The coronavirus … I can hardly type that word without my fingers protesting. It changed everything with how I work, and even today with how I eat. I grew to be a big fan of curbside pickup, just pop on the mask for a few seconds, grab the food and go, then ditch the mask again. I now eat inside restaurants a lot less, instead choosing to take home my meals.  It also changed the job where more work became remote and I missed being around the staff more often. I just woke up, threw on some "around the house" clothes a

A compelling new book chronicles the latest, ongoing chapter in occupied Kashmir's decades-long tragedy. A Dismantled State: the untold story of Kashmir after Article 370 by Anurudha Bhasin is a scathing indictment of Indian actions in Jammu and Kashmir following its annexation and bifurcation by abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian constitution on Aug 5, 2019. As a prominent journalist, executive editor of Kashmir Times and resident of Kashmir, Anurudha has long witnessed the turmoil, violence, injustices and vicissitudes of political life there. But post-August 2019, which saw J&K's dismemberment and disempowerment, was a fundamental break from the past. She describes her book's aim as discovering how this period that drastically altered the sociopolitical and economic landscape "impacted the people of J&K in their day-to-day lives". The book is an effort to "combat disinformation in Kashmir's dangerous information desert". I as

Redondo Beach forced to cancel its Fourth of July fireworks over King Harbor - Daily Breeze

Image
Redondo Beach won't have a Fourth of July fireworks show over King Harbor this year, a consequence of new rules Los Angeles County's water-quality watchdog implemented last month. City officials this week canceled the nearly 70-year fireworks tradition for 2023 after the contractor, Pyro Spectaculars, Inc., declined to produce the show because of new permitting rules from the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board. Jim Souza, the CEO for Pyro Spectaculars, said the company was deeply disappointed about not being able to produce the Redondo show, as well as others over the water, because of the regulations. The Redondo Beach City Council and municipal staffers expressed dismay at the last-minute change, and said there was no time to organize a show at a land-based location. On May 25, the water board implemented a new safety permit for fireworks either launched from barges on the water or where the safety zone extended over the water. The fireworks for Redondo

OWEN DUNS OF SOUTH HAMILTON connects for one of his four hits at Waterloo Bucks Stadium. (DFJ photo by Angela Hewitt) After dropping seven straight games, the South Hamilton baseball team has returned to form and has been enjoying a little bit of a resurgence. Save for a 7-0 loss against Saydel on June 14, the Hawks have pieced together four wins in five games. Starting their week with a Heart of Iowa Athletic Conference clash with Nevada on Monday at Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo, the Hawks' offense kicked into high gear with a 21-10 victory. This past Tuesday, the Hawks defeated West Hancock with a 16-7 final score at the Mike Penning Athletic Complex in Jewell. Against the Cubs, the Hawks started fast and finished strong, thanks to stellar performances from junior Owen Duns and sophomore Braden Young. Duns went a perfect 4-of-4 with five RBIs, while Young came close to a cycle with a triple, double, single while driv

From the Urdu Press: Why is PM silent on Manipur, Muslims are not ‘outsiders’ in Uttarakhand, and could MP go Karnataka way - The Indian Express

Image
Besides that, the Urdu press this week wrote about Madhya Pradesh politics, which has started hotting up in the run-up to the Assembly polls. Some of the dailies highlighted the story of a minority community-run school in Damoh that has been de-registered and is facing demolition over a poster showing Hindu girls in purported hijab, and over reciting a poem of poet Iqbal. The New Delhi edition of Inquilab, in its editorial on June 17, says that the continuing violence in Manipur must alarm both the state and Centre. "There has been a sense of alienation in the Northeast, where there is a feeling that despite being an integral part of the country, the region does not get the same focus and accountability from the ruling dispensation that some other states have," the editorial says. "If all efforts had been taken to take the Manipur people into confidence and prevent violence in the initial phase of the conflict, the crisis would not have snowballed so much that even a

Kenya Airways resumes daily New York flights - Business Daily

Image
Transport Kenya Airways resumes daily New York flights Tuesday June 20 2023 Kenya Airways Embraer 190 airplane at Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) in the Seychelles. FILE PHOTO | POOL Kenya Airways (KQ) has resumed direct daily flights to New York as it seeks to cash in on the summer season expected to push up demand for air travel. The national carrier has been operating five daily flights on the US route since January when the demand for passengers was low as America entered into the winter season. KQ says the decision to ramp up the frequencies has been informed by high forward booking from passengers seeking summer tickets. "We have increased our frequencies to daily on the New York route because of high demand from passengers as we approach the summer season," said the airline. The move comes as a boost to the national carrier, which is fighting to fly out of the loss-making territory. The daily flights to the US come at a time when Ethi

Pixel Tablet: Google's latest comes with a twist - but can it find an audience? - Sky News

Image
As smartphone screens have got bigger, and laptops more powerful, tablets have gone through something of an identity crisis. Once pitched as an obvious middle ground between the computer in your pocket and the one on your lap, the thinking behind them seems increasingly muddled. There are iPads for people who want a keyboard and powerful processor (but not a laptop?), and those who want a small screen (but not a bigger phone?). Samsung makes tablets, occasionally with a stylus, while also making phones that fold out into screens even bigger than some tablets. And don't forget Amazon 's various Kindles and Microsoft 's array of Surfaces. If your head hurts thinking about them all, you're not alone. As someone who recently helped research a new family tablet purchase, it's more difficult than ever to know which models to choose from as use cases vary so wildly. But that hasn't stopped Google from coming up with yet another use case for a tablet - what if it
